Responsibility at the push of a button.

Our dishwashers go through 485 rigorous quality checks before they leave the factory and we pay special attention to resources during manufacture. Nothing is saved - except for energy consumption. But how exactly does our eco mode work? We have put together some interesting facts about our energy saving mode.

Longer program run, less energy?

How can a program like Eco 50° save energy when it runs longer? The answer is surprisingly simple: the longer cleaning cycle means that the water does not have to be heated up as much as with programs with a shorter running time. In addition, your dishes will soak longer so that your dishwasher does not use as much water for cleaning in this mode as in other programs. This reduces energy consumption - and water consumption at the same time.

Is the energy saving really worth talking about?

Yes. If you use the Eco 50° program, up to 50% less kWh* are required for a wash cycle than if you use the Auto program. So you not only have clean dishes, but also a clear conscience - and also a positive effect on your wallet.

*Use of the Eco mode 50° C. The values vary between the individual models and brands.

So should I always use Eco mode?

The numbers speak for themselves, of course, but you shouldn't always use the Eco 50° C program. In order to achieve perfect results for your dishes and the environment, you should always select your program depending on the load and the degree of soiling of the dishes. Our auto programs (depending on the model type) and some other special programs, for example, measure these factors and automatically select the optimal settings for energy and water consumption. To ensure that these measurements are accurate, it is strongly recommended that you run the hot water programs or the machine care program regularly so that the dishwasher itself does not become contaminated with residue or bacteria.
