A 350 to 400w hand mixer is powerful enough to accomplish most common mixing, beating and kneading tasks. Upgrading to a hand mixer with 500w or more delivers additional power for exceptional results.

3. What hand mixer speeds do I need?
Having a range of speed settings to choose from provides greater control while mixing or beating. When making a cake, for example, you start off slow and as ingredients come together, you move to a higher speed.
Each multi-speed hand mixer in our range has either 4 or 5 speeds, plus a turbo button. To adjust the speed, slide the speed control on the top of the handle. The turbo button, also known as pulse, is perfect in combination with attachments like a blending shaft or a chopper.
