What to do if your refrigerator isn't cooling properly

There could be several reasons that may have caused the refrigerator to stop cooling or to fail at cooling correctly. More complex repairs require a proper assessment from a professional, but before that, try these simple fixes:

• Make sure the fridge is getting power. The light should come on after opening the door.

• Check the thermostat. Sometimes thermostats can be turned by accident after cleaning the fridge or when moving items to or from the fridge.

• Make sure the vents on the back are not blocked. Sometimes we put bigger boxes towards the back of the fridge, so make sure the air coming from the vent can circulate.
