Refrigerator Maintenance: How to clean your fridge
Cleaning your fridge
Cleaning your refrigerator is easy. Follow our easy steps to maintain your refrigerator's clean appearance.
How to clean a stainless steel refrigerator
First, find the direction of the stainless steel grain. It could be horizontal, vertical or diagonal.
Next, wash the steel with a soft cloth and mild, soapy water. Be sure to always wipe in the direction of the grain. Wipe dry with a soft cloth.
Apply the Bosch stainless steel conditioner and wipe with a soft cloth in the direction of the grain. Remove excess with a paper towel. DO NOT apply the conditioner to logos, control labels or black stainless steel. Black stainless steel can be simply cleaned with mild soapy water and a soft cloth. DO NOT use chlorine-based cleaners or abrasive cleaners and cloths.
How to clean the interior of your refrigerator
First, remove all food from refrigerator and store in a cool location.
Allow any frost in the freezer to thaw, then wipe down walls, shelving and drawers with a soft cloth and mild, soapy water. Ensure water does not get into the lights or run into the evaporation tray through the drain hole.
Wipe door seals with a damp cloth.
Dry with a soft cloth then return food back to refrigerator.
Drawers, bins and other accessories should be washed by hand with mild, soapy water. Do not wash them in the dishwasher.
