How to clean stainless steel
1. First, find the direction of the stainless steel grain on your vent hood. It could be horizontal, vertical or diagonal.
2. Next, wash the steel with a soft cloth and mild, soapy water. Be sure to always wipe in the direction of the grain. Wipe dry with a soft cloth. DO NOT use chlorine-based cleaners, abrasive cloths or cleaners.
3. The Bosch degreaser can also be used to remove greasy residue.
4. Apply the Bosch stainless steel conditioner and wipe with a soft cloth in the direction of the grain. Remove excess with a paper towel. DO NOT apply the conditioner to logos, control labels or black stainless steel of your range hood.
5. Black stainless steel can be simply cleaned with mild soapy water and a soft cloth.
How to clean your vent hood's grease filters
1. Review your range hood owner’s manual to learn how to remove the grease filters.
2. Soak the filters in hot, soapy water for 10 minutes. The Bosch degreaser can also be used to remove greasy residue.
3. Scrub the filters with a cleaning brush.
4. Rinse with water.
5. Dry thoroughly before reinserting.
How often should I replace ventilation hood charcoal/carbon filters?
If your ventilation hood utilizes a charcoal/carbon filter, you should replace it every 3 to 4 months (depending on usage).
