Descale the washing machine with household products

Some washing machine tips recommend using home products or homemade washing machine cleaners to descale your washer, however we do not recommend doing so. Please do not descale your Bosch washing machine with everyday, common household products such as citric acid or vinegar. These items may degrade the rubber parts of your machine over time.

What type of cleaner and descaler can I use in my washing machine?
Instead of home products or homemade cleaners, use the Bosch Descaler, which has been tested and approved by Bosch to remove limescale and hard water deposits from our washing machines. It's easy to use and we recommend using it every few months to help with efficient performance.

We also recommend using the Bosch Washer Cleaner every few months to help remove greasy residues, which may create spots on your laundry.
