The Stain Assist in the app will help you select which of 16 stain settings – 12 more than are available on your front loader alone – is best for your blotch. It will then automatically calibrate the water temperature, drum action and soaking time to ensure flawless washing results before starting your cycle. And when you’re ready to move your clothes to the dryer, our smart Programme Assistant helps you select the perfect drying cycle and even offers the Iron Assist steam function to reduce or eliminate the need for pressing.

And the Home Connect app is one of the most powerful tools available to you for making the most of your appliance’s energy efficiency class and managing water consumption in the laundry. But it wouldn’t be possible without some pretty clever engineering. Starting with the EcoSilence motor in our washing machines, whose magnet-driven, frictionless design not only makes it quieter even at a spin speed with high revolutions per minute but also saves energy as well as reducing wear and tear. A feature that does both is the app’s Program Assistant, which automatically selects the most efficient washing programme for your load. It does this with the help of the ActiveWater Plus sensors inside your machine, which determine how much water is needed based on your textile type and load volume. i-DOS automatic dosing also delivers more convenience and less consumption. It calculates exactly how much detergent and softener is needed to clean your load. That way you can be sure you’ll never use too much product and waste water and electricity with extended rinse cycles. And the app takes things to the next level with Detergent Scan, which reads the barcode on the bottle and bases its calculations on the product formula for even greater accuracy.
And we’ve used the same principles in both our heat pump and condenser dryer models: AutoDry uses moisture sensors to get your clothes ready to wear or stops the cycle when they’re still just damp enough for ironing. That way, you never overdry a load and waste electricity.

All appliances need some cleaning and care to keep working at their best year in, year out. With Home Connect, you get more of the maintenance gain for less pain. From tips on extending your appliance’s life, like running the drum cleaning cycle, through notifications when you’re running low on detergent and softener to help with troubleshooting, you have a lot less to worry about. And if you ever have an issue, you can contact a technician via the app who can remotely run a fault diagnosis. Often they can also fix the problem without a visit. But if it’s necessary to work on site, they’ll arrive with the right parts in hand.

You can use the Home Connect app as your single smart interface for selected appliances in the Bosch, Siemens, Neff, Gaggenau, Balay, Thermador, Constructa, Pitsos and Profilo ranges.
Can more than one person control the appliance through the app?
Yes, two or more members of the household can access the app and control appliances from different smart devices.
What devices do I need to pair my appliance with Home Connect?
All you need is your smartphone and a Wi-Fi router that’s under about five years old. Be sure to check that your home network is encrypted (WPA or WPA2 encryption). It’s not possible to register an appliance on an unencrypted network.
How can I be sure my Wi-Fi signal reaches the spot where my appliance is?
A shortcut is to take your smartphone to your appliance and check how many of the arcs in the Wi-Fi icon you can see. The more, the better. Another option is to use an app such as Wi-Fi Analyser to measure the reception strength.
How do I know my data won’t fall into the wrong hands?
